A Day With The Gants

As a photographer I often times can forget the importance of photographing my own family. It’s crazy when I think about it, but often times, camera-in-hand means work, so I avoid it. But, a few times a year I make concerted effort to photograph our family and the entire day in as authentic of a way as I can. I don’t pose a single photo and simply focus on composition and lighting. I often take this time to try editing styles and techniques as well. Almost every single time I do this we end up creating a small album from the day and these photos become family favorites. My two kiddos, Evelynne and Peter, are growing up so dang quickly, and I don’t want to ever forget all the little things that make this time of our lives beautiful. Their dirty feet, emotional moments, laughter, are all so important. On this late spring day, we had nothing formal planned and just wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather and each other, which we did.

Photographers, take the time to capture your life, regardless of the details!

Families, how would you feel about replacing formal family photos with authentic real moments? How would you feel about a photographer following you and your family from first thing in the morning until the end of the evening? I’d love to make this happen for you. Day in the life sessions are $3500.
