Anthony Chapel Wedding | Hot Springs Arkansas Wedding | Kyle and Courtney
With floor to ceiling glass walls and surrounded by the woodlands of Hot Springs, Arkansas, the Anthony Chapel was an unspeakably beautiful location for Kyle and Courtney's wedding. Not a single guest will ever forget such an incredible scene. Like many of my clients these days, Kyle and Courtney chose to shoot their first look a day or two prior to the wedding, which allowed us to have the church and gardens all to ourselves, and also allowed the wedding day to flow more naturally. Breathtaking.
Their Story:
Kyle and I had met at work in the office. We were friends for years before we even thought about dating. Once we started dating it was so natural and nothing had ever felt more right than times that we were together. After dating for some time we had talked about getting married and how the future would look for us. We were insync with what we wanted a marriage to look like and what values we would instill in our children. We both knew we were done looking that we had found our forever mate in life. I had flown to Baton Rouge from Colorado mid December to celebrate my Pa Pa's 90th surprise birthday party. Kyle wasn't able to join me because he couldn't escape work. All of our family and Pa's friends had gone to Juban's (an upscale restaurant in BR) to lie in wait to surprise Pa as he opened up the doors. Needless to say, he was more than surprised and overcome with joy that so many were there to celebrate his life. As everyone was seated to eat, I was asked to stand up and give a speech since Pa was like a second father to me at times. As I was delivering this heartfelt impromtu speech, Kyle had walked in the side door. Everyone had seen him enter, but me... I continued to jabber on until he came into my view. That's when I knew. It was his turn to give a heart felt speech and boy did he. He had my knees shakey and me in tears which I tried to fight off because I don't like to cry, especially when people can see me. I was in such shock that this was really happening that I forgot to answer him outloud, Yes - I will marry you! He had to ask me if it was a yes. Whoops. Kyle had it all planned out. He wanted to be able to ask me in front of my Pa and brother. Unfortunately my brother couldn't make it because of work. This might have been the first time Kyle lied to me, at least it better be. Ha! He had actually flown in the night before and spent the night with Annie and Steve (my aunt and uncle). Kyle almost didn't make it in that night because his flight kept getting delayed. I believe he got in around 11pm that night. Sure enough, I was just as surprised as Pa the next day when I saw him. 9 months later we have a wedding.
