The Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows - Windsor Colorado - Kristin and Jake

The Big Red Barn at Highland Meadows Golf Course was the perfect location for Kristin and Jake's country wedding. Every single detail was pristine and perfectly placed. It was clear that Kristin (and her mom) had been planning and dreaming of this day for a long time. The elegant pink and creme color scheme was a perfect fit for this county-style locale. 

Their engagement Story
Jake and I met when we were in high school at stampeded. We exchanged numbers and he asked me out to dinner but I turned him down. A few years later I found him on Facebook and we started talking. I had NO idea we had ever talked before. We went to TGI Fridays for our first date and spent most of the dinner in silence, but we have been together ever since that night in February of 2012. I had been giving Jake shit about getting engaged. We both knew it would happen, but neither of us knew when. We were getting ready to go to dinner with Billie and Jerry, Jake's sister and brother in law. We were ready to go but Jake wanted to play a game of pool. So we went downstairs to play a game before dinner, Jake was so nervous he lost the first game right away. So he wanted to play another game, not realizing what was going, I said that we needed to leave to meet them for dinner. He turned on Hey Pretty Girl and when I turned around he was on his knee fumbling in his shirt pocket to get the ring out. He said, "I've been trying to think of places to do this, but I decided to do it in the home we built together" I of course cried and was in COMPLETE shock. I did not expect to get engaged that night!
